3D printing is a smart choice to make prototypes for testing of product R&D. For example, testing for outer appearance, contraction, lifetime of product, high temperature resistance, etc. In addition to the standard requirements materials, consistency of printing, sometimes it also need the good outer appearance to assemble the applications.
AS a multi-material testable sample delivery platform, 3DPLink provide consistency of materials to meet customer’s need. Meanwhile, our professional after-treatment services help the enterprises innovate and product R&D.
After-treatment Polishing
After the printing, there are some slight layers on the surface of the models. Customers who have requirements on the surface will choose to polishing to cover the layers. We will make basic polish the surface meet your requirements. Transparent sample can be polished to improve transparency and light transmittance.

Painting
If your models need to be painted, can share Pantone colors with us. We can make below 6 results:
Matte painting: painting with the request colors on the surface with matte, no shiny
Glossy painting: painting with the request colors on the surface with shiny results
Imitation electroplating painting: Due to the requirements of environmental protection, we do not provide plating service, but we can provide imitation electroplating paint instead. Through special material modulation, it show a metallic luster effect, which can replace the electroplating effect to a certain extent.
Glossy oil: especially for the transparent model. After painting with glossy oil, transparency and light transmittance of the models can be improved.
Rubber painting: surface coated rubber effect and feel very comfortable, suitable for hand-hold models.
Leather painting: surface like leather textures, suitable for imitation leather effect sample.
Sealing
Customers who has the water tightness and air tightness request, will choose use the special layer solvent is applied on the surface of FDM samples- sealing to achieve.
Roasting
For special materials like Nylon12 and Digital-ABS, in order to meet the higher requirements of customers, we will make roasting to make the internal molecules of the material tightly so that it can improve the strength of the material and temperature resistance.
Thread inserting
We can make hot melt to insert the screw with the fastening position, or tapping to protective screw sleeve to meet the inserting requirements.
Silk-screen
You can provide 1:1 scale files or PDF, Pantone color and position of silk-screen for us then we can make the silk-screen of patterns, letters or symbol, etc.
Inspection
3DPlink will inspect all the models before shipping. Including the appearance, sizes, color.
Outer appearance: no obvious defects, no burrs, Material, color used, and the position of inserting are the same as the customer's requirements.
Tolerance: Use high precision depth meter, arc meter, caliper, 3 dimensional measurement for check, only tolerance are within the customer's requirements then will be delivered.
Colors: painting samples, silk-screen must match with the Pantone colors and patterns.
